Indian telecom major Reliance Jio has been quick to accumulate a sizable user base in a short span of time. Recently, Jio updated its postpaid tariffs starting at Rs 199 per month. Jio Postpaid Plus users are eligible for benefits like up to 500 GB data rollover, better coverage and in-flight connectivity, premium postpaid service, additional Jio SIM cards for your family members, free OTT apps subscriptions -- Netflix, Disney+Hotstar VIP, and Amazon Prime -- among other things.

To convert to Jio Postpaid Plus, follow the instructions listed below.
- Visit the Jio PostPaid Plus page.
- Enter your name and registered prepaid number on the login page.
- Then select Create OTP.
- Enter the OTP.
- Enter the delivery address for your Jio Postpaid Plus SIM.
- Select Send Request for New Jio SIM.
In 3–4 days, a Jio customer care representative will get in touch with you. A Jio representative will contact you to examine documents such as identity proof and address proof, for at-home KYC. The Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, and driver's license are acceptable documents for identification.
After completing your KYC, the representative will hand over the new Jio Postpaid Plus SIM to you. The new SIM will activate in 24 hours. For JioPrime, you have to pay Rs 250 security deposit, with a Rs 99 Jio Prime fee.
Alternatively, you can also visit your nearest Jio store for getting new postpaid SIM. You can get the new SIM and complete all the KYC documentation at the store.
Jio has clearly mentioned that most of the prepaid benefits will lapse such as unused validity, vouchers, and data balance. But if you have any top-up balance, it will be credited to your first postpaid bill, bringing down the total of the bill.
Also if you use the My Jio App or website to upgrade your prepaid number to postpaid then the services might not be operational in Jammu and Kashmir region. For that, you will have to visit the nearest Jio Store. After migration, postpaid bills will be sent to your email id.
Currently, Jio is offering a free one-month service for JioPlus users, and one has to spend at least Rs. 299 (30GB Data) and the family share plans start at Rs. 499/month. With Jio Plus plans, users will get access to premium OTT services like Prime Video, Netflix, and more.
